Health:

The government is focused to strengthen the medical facilities across the country. In an attempt to provide better healthcare facilities various vaccines and drugs are made available at cheaper rates. For instance, new improved vaccines are introduced for diarrhea and pneumonia. To protect young generation, health programme in schools have been reinforced with the aim to cover 90 percent of schools in three years. With ‘Public Private Partnership (PPP)’, Jan Aushadhi programme will be introduced in district hospitals within 2 years. The ‘Jan Aushadhi’ programme aims to provide 300 types of medicines free of cost and also provide essential diagnostic facilities at public hospitals. The ‘ULHAS (Universal Life and Health Assurance Scheme)’ covers life insurance of 2 lakhs for deprived societies in India. The ‘ULHAS’ also includes health coverage of Rs 50,000 and lists public and private healthcare service providers with biometric authentication cashless services. The proposed idea of ‘Tele Doctor’ is set to be implemented by the end of 2016 which ensures availability of doctors through call.
