To curb down corrupt practices, the central government is going to utilize e-services to its fullest. The government aims to enclose all the central departments’ by e-services to promote transparency and full proof functioning by the end of December 2016. Importantly, e-services will be available in local language and all the documents will be stored in ‘digital locker’ safely with online payment facilities. The government also aims to enhance 685 autonomous bodies, introduce one-page forms instead of affidavits, and issue SC/ST/residence certificates through online portal. Furthermore, citizens will be able to authenticate their documents online with ‘e-Sign’ capability by the end of the year 2017. Also by December 2018, the government is set to digitally literate 50 percent of rural population to urge them experience foolproof and transparent transactions.
