In a promising declaration, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has assured that India will be in the league of developed nations by 2047. Underlining India's remarkable journey towards progress, the Prime Minister asserted that the prevailing societal afflictions, including corruption, casteism, and communalism, will find no place within our nation's collective conscience. In a much-anticipated interview, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while speaking to the news agency, asserted that India would be a developed country by 2047 and would secure the top spot in terms of the world's leading economies. Prime Minister Modi stated, "India will be a developed nation by 2047," and assured that social evils like "corruption, casteism as well communalism will have no place in our national life."
During his speech on the occasion of Independence Day this year, the Prime Minister said that by 2047, when India will be celebrating 100 years of independence, it will be a developed nation. "In 2047, when the country will be celebrating 100 years of Independence, India will be a developed country", the Prime Minister noted during his speech from the Red Fort. On the occasion of Independence Day, he highlighted that with available resources and the power of youth, it is a golden opportunity for the country to realize its dream of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Underlining India's economic development, PM Modi said, "India will be in the top three economies of the world in the near future."The Prime Minister highlighted that the country has a record of jumping five spots in less than a decade. India is currently the fifth largest economy in the world, surpassing its former colonizer, the United Kingdom. The Prime Minister, during his Independence Day speech, highlighted that when he took over the chair in 2014, India ranked 10th in terms of economic might, and gradually, it has risen to the fifth spot. Then, he thanked the anti-corruption efforts and promised that with a robust economy, the country would rise to be among the top three.
The interview comes just a few days ahead of the G20 summit going to be held in New Delhi from September 8 to September 10. This interaction with happens to be Prime Minister Modi's first interview in the last four years.
