Physically Challenged Begs For the Education of the Poor
BENGALURU: We all speak of helping the poor and even the government seems to be busy bringing in new schemes for the upliftment of these backward classes and so on. But apart from all these there are still some people left with humanity who sacrifice their live for others. For instance a poor old is begging not for his livelihood but for the education of poor children. R Selvaraj, 73, who begs to make ends meet, isn't demotivated by the fact that he is poor and has to beg to run his family, according to indiatimes.com.
Differently abled Economics Graduate R Selvaraj was forced to beg for a living after he got affected by polio and has been begging since 2006 to provide reading material to poor children of his neighborhood who are not able to go to school and have formal education. He started imploring people for alms for the welfare of the students. Even though finding it difficult to board buses, Selvaraj decided he would not give up so easily.
He never misses a single bus and seeks alms from each and every passenger and then with the money that he collects he gets the students stationery material for their education. He does all this just for his own satisfaction that at least he could help the needy. This brave man’s devotion to achieve his goals bends our heads down as though being a polio affected person, he has helped so many who are in need of help.
A big salute to Mr. R. Selvaraj for showing the world that helping the needy doesn’t always demand you to be a normal person.
