Modi To Visit Varanasi Tomorrow For 'Good Governance Day'

While in Varanasi, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for expansion of the Diesel Locomotive Works factory.

The one-day visit would be Modi's second to his constituency since taking over as the Prime Minister of the country. It comes less than two months after his maiden visit on November 7-8.

The Prime Minister is likely to arrive from New Delhi at the Babatpur airport on the outskirts of Varanasi from where he is expected to reach a helipad prepared inside the sprawling BHU campus, according to the information received by the district administration.

Upon reaching BHU, the PM would garland a statue of the university's founder Madan Mohan Malaviya, on a day which happens to be his 153rd birth anniversary.

From the BHU campus, Modi is likely to go to the Assi Ghat. After inspecting the progress on the ground, the PM is likely to take his 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' further into the city by performing cleaning activities in the vicinity.

Upon his return to the BHU campus, the PM will lay the foundation stone for the inter-university centre for teachers' education. The PM is also likely to inaugurate a Wi-Fi facility for the university campus spread across an area of more than 1,000 acres.
