Meta India Names Aman Jain as New Public Policy Head

Meta India has appointed Aman Jain as its new Head of Public Policy, with his role beginning early next year. Jain will lead Meta’s policy strategy, regulatory engagement, and collaboration with industry stakeholders. He will report to Simon Milner, Vice President of Policy for the Asia-Pacific region, and will also be part of Meta India’s leadership team.
Aman Jain brings over two decades of experience across major technology companies and government roles. He has previously held senior positions at Google India, including Country Head for Government Affairs and Public Policy. In his most recent role at Amazon, he served as Director of Public Policy, where he oversaw policy initiatives related to marketplace operations, competition, and emerging technologies.
Meta said Jain’s appointment comes at a pivotal time as India's digital landscape rapidly evolves across areas like artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and the creator economy. The company aims to strengthen its partnerships within India’s tech ecosystem while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and future-ready internet environment.

Commenting on the appointment, Simon Milner said that India remains a “strategic market” for Meta and emphasized that Jain’s deep expertise in public policy and technology will help the company engage more effectively with regulators and industry experts. Milner added that Jain will play a key role in building an enabling policy framework for Meta’s long-term growth in India.
With this leadership change, Meta is positioning itself to better navigate India’s fast-changing digital policy landscape and reinforce its commitment to the country’s expanding tech economy.
