MediaTek and Nvidia Collaborate for AI-Powered Next-Gen Vehicles
MediaTek, a leading chip manufacturer, has announced a strategic collaboration with Nvidia to establish a comprehensive global solution for the automotive industry. The partnership aims to design the next generation of smart, always-connected vehicles, integrating cutting-edge AI, connectivity, and computing capabilities. In the 13th installment of its Technology Diaries, MediaTek emphasized its dedication to fostering the adoption of future-ready technologies. This includes advancements in 5G, Generative AI, Satellite connectivity, Automotive technology, Cloud Computing, and advanced 5G solutions, particularly in the context of 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA).
The company also reiterated the latest announcements including MediaTek Dimensity 9300 and 8300 chipsets, combining generative AI capabilities. "As we look forward to the next five years, we are excited to dive deeper into next-gen technology advancements to drive leadership in the Generative AI era. As per the company's statement, MediaTek introduces Dimensity Auto, a suite of innovative automotive solutions that encompasses various components. This comprehensive portfolio includes Dimensity Auto Cockpit, Dimensity Auto Connect, Dimensity Auto Drive, and Dimensity Auto Components, all geared towards fostering innovation in smart vehicle technology. The event featured engaging discussions on topics such as smartphones, smart devices, networking, and connectivity. Additionally, MediaTek showcased its collaboration with Meta's Llama 2 and explored advancements in 5G Satellite NTN.
