This vehicle is designed and built on all-new 'HEARTECT-e' platform which will be coming with over 500 km per charge, thus two batteries with options- 49kWh and 61kWh.
The e VITARA is a key step in Maruti Suzuki’s strategy to make India a global hub for EV manufacturing. With exports planned to more than 100 countries, including prominent markets like Japan and Europe, the company aims to showcase India’s manufacturing prowess on the global stage.
Speaking at the event, Toshihiro Suzuki, Representative Director and President, Suzuki Motor Corporation said the company would be focusing on three things: building a dedicated BEV platform for best performance; evolution of products based on market-specific needs; and leveraging global economies of scale by centralizing manufacture in India, thereby aligning well with the Indian government's 'Make in India' initiative.
The e VITARA comes with an integrated digital display, a twin-deck floating console, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver seat. The vehicle also offers sliding and reclining rear seats, and safety technologies, including seven airbags and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

"The e VITARA delivers over 500 kilometers on a single charge with its 61kWh battery, making it a very practical and reliable driving experience", he said.
The e VITARA will be available in ten color options, including four dual-tone options, and prices will be announced later.
In order to provide the much-needed support to the BEV rollout, Maruti Suzuki has planned 1,500 EV-enabled service workshops across 1,000 cities. These will be equipped with specially trained people and equipment for addressing the EV-related needs of customers, which includes charging also.
The electric SUV will be rolled out in a phased manner through the company's NEXA dealerships across the country. Blending advanced technology, safety features, and the commitment of Maruti Suzuki towards sustainability, e VITARA is all set to drive the next chapter of India's electric vehicle revolution.
