LTIMindtree Launches Village Development Program in Balarampur

LTIMindtree, a global technology consulting and digital solutions company, partnered with the reputed Civil Society organization across India to implement the Integrated Village Development Programme (IVDP) model in 16 aspirational blocks of the country. IVDP focuses on creating a positive impact in the blocks identified by Niti Aayog, and Balarampur is one of them due to its tribal population and specific developmental needs. Through IVDP interventions, LTIMindtree aims to uplift the local community through sustainable development and targeted interventions as part of LTIMindtree's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.

LTIMindtree has partnered with EAGL Livelihood Foundation to implement this comprehensive program, which encompasses various initiatives aimed at enhancing education, health, and livelihood opportunities for the residents.

As part of this initiative, Anganwadi Centres in the region were renovated, STEM lab was set up in two high Schools and free Coaching Centres were set up for the students appearing for the board examination. These projects were inaugurated by LTIMindtree’s Paneesh Rao, Chief Sustainability Officer along with the unveiling of a solar-operated signal system designed to reduce accident incidences in the block.

Sharing his thoughts, Paneesh Rao, Chief Sustainability Officer, LTIMindtree said, "The launch of the Integrated Village Development Programme in Balarampur reflects LTIMindtree's commitment to fostering sustainable growth and improving the quality of life in rural communities. By collaborating with local organizations and focusing on education, health, and infrastructure, we aim to empower the residents of Balarampur and create lasting change".

The key highlights of the Integrated Village Development Programme (IVDP) in Balarampur include several impactful initiatives. Five Anganwadi Centres across different gram panchayats have been revitalized into model facilities, providing essential services to lactating mothers and children up to six years old. These centres are now equipped with educational tools, infographics, and play equipment to create a learn-and-play environment. Additionally, five local schools are undergoing renovations to enhance their infrastructure and learning conditions, with plans to further develop them into model schools. Two free coaching centres have also been set up at BaraUrma High School and Chanditala High School to support students preparing for board exams, aiming to help them achieve 60% and above in their results. Furthermore, LTIMindtree is assisting local farmers by creating 22,500 cubic meters of storage capacity for farm ponds, which will provide irrigation support and improve agricultural productivity across approximately 450 acres of land.
