JK Cement Celebrates 140 Years of Global Innovation and Market Leadership of JK Organisation
JK Cement Ltd., a leading name in the building materials industry and one of India's top manufacturers of Grey Cement and the world’s largest White Cement producers, commemorated the 140-year legacy of its parent company, JK Organisation, in a grand event held in New Delhi. The celebration was graced by prominent dignitaries, industry leaders, employees, and other stakeholders. Among the distinguished guests was Lieutenant Governor of New Delhi, Mr. VK Saxena, who began his career at JK Cement, along with Mr. Rajeev Shukla, Member of the Rajya Sabha. Key figures from JK Organisation, including Dr. Nidhipati Singhania, Vice President of JK Organisation, Dr. Raghavpat Singhania, Managing Director of JK Cement, and Mr. Madhavkrishna Singhania, Joint MD and CEO of JK Cement, also attended the event to mark this significant milestone.

Dr. Raghavpat Singhania, Managing Director of JK Cement, in his address, noted the historical significance of the year, which marks not only the 140th anniversary of JK Organisation but also 50 years in the Grey Cement business and 40 years in the White Cement sector. “This year along with the 140 years milestone, also marks two significant milestones for us: 50 years of grey cement business and 40 years of white cement business, affirming our leadership in the industry. Our recent expansion into coal mining underscores our commitment to vertical integration and sustainable resource management. We are dedicated to not only adapting to the evolving landscape but also driving positive change and creating lasting value for all our stakeholders and the nation”.
In his speech, Mr. Madhavkrishna Singhania, Joint MD and CEO of JK Cement, emphasized the company's focus on technological innovation and sustainability. Shri VK Saxena, the Chief Guest at the event and Lieutenant Governor of New Delhi, shared his personal connection with the company, recalling his time at JK Cement as the starting point of his career. “It’s an honour for me to be part of this landmark celebration for a company where I started my career as an Assistant Officer in Gotan, Rajasthan and worked for 11 years in different capacities with its White Cement plant. This exposure gave me insights of a corporate working, faster decision making and team work, which has helped me throughout my various stints thereafter. I wish all the best to JK Cement for all their future endeavors in Nation Building”.
