India's Deadliest Terror Attacks Till Today


1. 1993 Bombay Bombings:

This can be considered as the deadliest attack happened in India so far on 12 March, 1993, as it took away the lives of more than 250 people, injuring around 700 in this deadliest attack. According to ‘IBN Live’ website, it was this day that changed Bombay [Now Mumbai] forever. Here are the few areas of India’s financial capital, mentioned on IBN Live website, which were hit by bomb blasts on the ‘Black Day’.

The first blast occurred at the Bombay Stock Exchange that killed around 84 people, leaving 217 injured; second blast was at Narsi Natha Street, where 5 people were dead and 16 left injured; Blast three was at Shiv Sena Bhavan where 4 people died leaving 50 injured; the fourth blast that happened at the Air India building killed 20 and left 87 injured; fifth blast at Mahim Causeway killed 3 and left 6 injured; it was near the sixth blast at Century Bazaar where maximum people lost their lives, 113 people were killed leaving 227 injured; seventh blast at Zaveri Bazzar killed 17 and injured 57 people; at the eighth blast at Sea Rock Hotel near Bandra there were no causalities reported, in the ninth blast at Plaza Cinema killed 10 injuring 37 people; tenth blast at Juhu Centaur Hotel left three people injured; at the eleventh blast at Sahar Airport no causalities were reported and at the final and twelfth blast at Airport Centura Hotel killed 2 leaving 8 injured. So, this was the intensity of this attack which is been remembered even today even after many blasts took place after that.
