Hexaware Names Raghu Mocherla to Head Connected AI, Cyber-Physical Systems

Hexaware Technologies has appointed Raghu Mocherla as Senior Vice President-Digital & Software, strengthening its leadership team as the company expands its focus on connected AI and cyber-physical systems. In his new role, Mocherla will lead the Cyber-Physical Software and Systems portfolio within Hexaware’s Digital & Software business unit.

Mocherla will be responsible for shaping strategy, expanding offerings, driving business growth, and ensuring client success across industries. He brings over 25 years of experience in technology services, with deep expertise in product engineering, research and development, and industrial operations.

Before joining Hexaware, Mocherla spent more than a decade at Capgemini, where he held senior leadership roles in the Engineering and R&D business. Most recently, he served as Industry Head and P&L leader for the ER&D business in the Americas, overseeing sectors such as industrial manufacturing, automotive, rail, aerospace, and defense. He was also part of Capgemini’s ER&D Americas Executive Committee.

Hexaware said the appointment comes as enterprises increasingly adopt AI to bridge the gap between digital and physical systems. The company’s Digital & Software unit helps clients embed intelligence, connectivity, and advanced software into products and operations to drive smarter manufacturing and end-to-end digital integration.

Sanjay Salunkhe, President and Global Head of Digital & Software Services at Hexaware, said Mocherla’s strong background in product engineering and industrial domains will be key to advancing the company’s AI-first strategy and scaling its digital services globally.

Mocherla holds degrees in Computer Science Engineering and Business Management and is based in Boston.
