HCL Technologies has unveiled an expanded partnership with Google Cloud, aiming to leverage the tech giant's cutting-edge AI model, Gemini, to develop industry-specific solutions and enhance business outcomes. As part of this collaboration, HCLTech plans to train 25,000 engineers on Gemini for Google Cloud, equipping them to drive innovation and optimization for mutual clients through GenAI.
C Vijayakumar, CEO & MD of HCLTech, highlighted the significance of this collaboration, emphasizing the potential to deliver enhanced value to global enterprises with HCLTech's GenAI solutions powered by Google's scalable Gemini models.
The partnership also involves integrating Gemini's advanced capabilities into HCLTech's AI Force platform. This integration will empower engineers to leverage Gemini's code completion and summarization features, thereby expediting software development processes and enhancing project quality for clients.
Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, underscored the importance of enabling thousands of engineers on Google Cloud's latest AI technology. This initiative will enable HCLTech to provide the necessary expertise for successful deployment and management of GenAI projects at scale.
Furthermore, HCLTech plans to leverage Gemini models to bolster its industry solutions portfolio developed within its Cloud Native Labs and AI Labs. These labs, staffed by leading AI experts and engineers, will assist clients in effectively conceptualizing, managing, and refining GenAI projects on Google Cloud infrastructure.
