Goafest 2025 Exposes 'Advertising Plays'

Goafest 2025 will introduce a new segment called Advertising Plays
The program will feature inter-agency competitions in table tennis, pickleball, and other games
The festival will take place from May 21 to 23 at Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage and Horizon

Goafest 2025 will feature a new segment called Advertising Plays, a sports and wellness initiative aimed at providing delegates with casual opportunities for engagement outside of panel sessions and awards. The initiative has been designed as part of the festival's overall Goafest Village format and is being handled by Havas Play.

The program will include table tennis and pickleball inter-agency competitions along with informal games like chess, carrom, darts, net cricket, and arm wrestling. All the activities will be gender-neutral and for participants across all skill levels. Morning wellness activities like yoga and beach walkathons will also be included in the package.

Mohit Joshi, Co-chairman of the Goafest 2025 Organising Committee and Chief Executive Officer of Havas Media Network India, said: "The connections that propel our industry ahead are not always established in boardrooms or award nights. Advertising Plays provides a platform for professionals to interact outside the conventional format. It's an initiative with a people-centric approach which will help our industry create more connections and collaborate in the long term."

With a combination of light-hearted yet competitive, gender-neutral games like Chess, Carrom, Darts, Net Cricket and Arm Wrestling, the event seeks to tap into the joy of play and the excitement of challenge. Contemporary, high-energy sports like Pickleball and Table Tennis introduce a competitive element, challenging participants to break boundaries and foster teamwork. In the meantime, carefully selected wellness activities like Yoga by the Beach and the Beach Walkathon give delegates an opportunity to recharge, reconnect, and realign themselves with their inner selves. The 18th Goafest will be held between 21 and 23 May at Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage and Horizon. The festival is jointly hosted by the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) and The Advertising Club (TAC).
