GIFT City Partners with TiE to Boost Entrepreneurship and Innovation in India
Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), India's sole International Financial Services Centre (IFSC), has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with non-profit organization TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) aimed at fostering economic growth and creating employment opportunities through entrepreneurship. This partnership seeks to establish a collaborative framework to promote innovation, attract investments, and enhance the business environment within India through GIFT City.
According to Tapan Ray, Managing Director & Group CEO of GIFT City, the collaboration is expected to draw high-caliber entrepreneurs and businesses to GIFT City, bolstering its reputation as a premier hub for financial and technology services.
Under the MoU, GIFT City and TiE will form a joint working committee to oversee collaborative activities. This committee will convene regularly to monitor progress, tackle challenges, and explore new avenues for cooperation.
Amit Gupta, Chairman of TiE Global's Board of Trustees and Group CEO of Ecosystem Group, expressed enthusiasm about the MoU, highlighting its potential to drive job creation, economic growth, and innovation that can uplift societies and economies.
TiE, together with its local chapters, will facilitate connections between GIFT City and its extensive global network of entrepreneurs and industry leaders. They will also provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance the startup ecosystem. Additionally, both parties will collaborate on organizing knowledge-sharing sessions, networking events, and boot camps aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and innovation within GIFT City.
This strategic alliance between GIFT City and TiE is poised to leverage synergies, harnessing entrepreneurial talent and fostering a conducive environment for businesses to thrive within India's burgeoning financial and technology sectors.
