EverEnviro and Thermax Bioenergy Collaborate with EUSUSO
EverEnviro Resource Management Pvt Ltd, a prominent player in the compressed biogas (CBG) sector in India, has joined forces with Thermax Bioenergy Solutions Pvt Ltd (TBSPL) to collaborate with Denmark's European Sustainable Solutions ApS (EUSUSO). The partnership is outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and was officially signed in the presence of Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen.
The primary objective of the collaboration is to incorporate EUSUSO’s cutting-edge Gemidan Ecogi technology in the construction of municipal solid waste (MSW) based CBG plants throughout India. The agreement is a strategic move to enhance CBG production efficiency in the country. Mahesh Girdhar, MD & CEO of EverEnviro, expressed the commitment to building a robust CBG ecosystem to meet India’s energy needs.
EUSUSO is renowned for its technological leadership in waste management and green fuel production in Europe, boasting an impressive 99.996% efficiency rate in optimizing the pre-treatment phase in CBG plants. Girdhar believes that this collaboration will not only bolster CBG production but also address India’s municipal waste management challenges.
The adoption of EUSUSO’s advanced technology comes at a crucial time, as India grapples with issues of urbanization and landfill capacity. The technological upgrade aligns with the Indian government's GOBARdhan initiative, which aims to accelerate the development of MSW-based CBG plants. EverEnviro is already in the process of establishing eight such plants.
Lars Rosgaard, CEO of EUSUSO, acknowledged India's potential in the bioenergy sector, calling it the fastest-growing major economy globally. He outlined EUSUSO’s long-term vision, which includes local equipment manufacturing in India and introducing solutions for paddy straw management, along with sustainable aviation and shipping fuel production.
Deodatta Deshpande, CEO of TBSPL, emphasized the significance of international technology transfers. The integration of European Gemidan Ecogi technology in upcoming MSW-based CBG plants is seen as a substantial leap toward India's net-zero ambitions by 2070. The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to addressing India's energy needs and waste management challenges through innovative, sustainable solutions.
