Sanjay Kumar:

Sanjay Kumar volunteered to lead 13 scouts to capture Flat Top of Point 4875 in the Mushkoh Valley in 1999. Despite of facing dreadful shellings by the enemies, Kumar crawled towards the enemy positions. By the time he reached the enemy, Kumar was fiercely wooded by bullets, but the brave heart got hold of enemy’s machine guns and killed three enemy Jawans by hand in hand combat and captured the place.

Yogendra Singh Yadav:

Yogendra Singh Yadav was among the team that captured the Tiger Hill in 1999. Yadav was ordered to climb the hill to fix the rope through which other Indian soldiers were supposed to reach the enemy place. When when the troops were half way up, the enemy opened fire and killed an Indian commander and two of the soldiers. On the other hand, Yadav successfully crawled to the top of the hill along with other soldiers, though he was hit by two bullets, Yadav killed four enemy soldiers. This valor show of Yadav has proved to be the integral part in capturing a Tiger Hill and thus he was awarded Param Vir Chakra.
