BDO India Mulls Noida GCC Setup via Joint Venture
BDO India LLP is gearing up to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Noida, India, in collaboration with BDO member firms across the US, UK, and Germany. This initiative signals a strategic move by the firm to harness India's talent pool and competitive advantages in professional services.
The GCC aims to recruit around 5,000 professionals over the next 3-4 years, aligning with the growing trend of global firms leveraging India's capabilities for cost-effective and high-quality service delivery. This expansion mirrors the trajectory of larger players like the Big Four, which collectively house over 250,000 employees in GCCs across India.
Branded as BDO EDGE (Exceptional Delivery for Global Enterprises), the centre will offer a spectrum of services including assurance, accounting, outsourcing, advisory, and technology solutions to BDO firms and alliance programs worldwide. Milind Kothari, Managing Partner of BDO India, underscores that BDO EDGE will foster collaboration and innovation, enhancing the collective capabilities of the network.
The launch of BDO EDGE adds a new dimension to BDO's presence in India, alongside BDO India LLP, catering to the domestic market with a range of services, and BDO RISE, which exclusively supports BDO USA's engagement teams. This delineation underscores BDO's commitment to serving diverse market needs while capitalizing on synergies within its global network.
Overall, the establishment of BDO EDGE signifies a significant step towards strengthening BDO's global footprint and enhancing its service offerings through collaborative excellence, positioning the firm to effectively compete in the dynamic professional services landscape.
