Ashok Leyland Begins Delivery of Electric Trucks to Billion Electric Mobility
Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group, has commenced supplying electric trucks to Billion Electric Mobility, a Group BillionE subsidiary. This is an important tie-up and will make up 180 electric trucks that run on key routes connecting Chennai and Bengaluru, Chennai and Vijayawada.
The first batch of electric trucks-the AVTR 55-tonne, BOSS 19-tonne, and BOSS 14-tonne models-was flagged off at a special ceremony held by Shenu Aggarwal, MD and CEO, Ashok Leyland and Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and CEO, Billion Electric Mobility. The ceremony was attended by senior officials such as Chief Technology Officer N. Saravanan and Sanjeev Kumar, President of Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles.
