Air India Names Jayaraj Shanmugam Global Airport Operations Head
Air India has announced the appointment of Jayaraj Shanmugam as the Head of Global Airport Operations, effective April 15th, 2024. Shanmugam brings with him a wealth of experience, having served as the Chief Operating Officer at Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) and holding key positions in esteemed organizations such as Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Jet Airways over the past 25 years.
During his tenure at BIAL, Shanmugam played a pivotal role in operationalizing Terminal 2, showcasing his proficiency in airport management and operations. He will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer, Klaus Goersch.
