Bangalore: If you are a politician, you got to be rich! However, the richness pre and post attainment of political office is closely scrutinized by the public and media. While being rich is the means to enter politics for many, many see politics the right place to become rich. Forbes recently listed out the richest politicians in the world and the top 10 on the list are:  

Michael Bloomberg:

Michael Bloomberg leads the pack of the world’s richest politicians. The Mayor of New York city ranks first on the list with a net worth of $22 billion.

In January the longtime equal rights advocate joined with other mayors in the U.S. to launch Mayors for Freedom to Marry. In February he won praises from women's rights groups for pledging to match $250,000 in donations to Planned Parenthood when the Susan G. Komen Foundation controversially and briefly cut funding. Michael is also the founder of Bloomberg L.P., a financial news and information services media company.
