Lucky Luciano:
Lucky Luciano was an Italian-born, established American mobster. He is also considered the father of modern organized crime in the U.S. for splitting New York City into five different Mafia crime families and the creation of the first Commission. He was the foremost official boss of the modern Genovese crime family. He along with his associate Meyer Lansky was involved in the development of the National Crime Syndicate in the U.S. Lucky was responsible for the trafficking of heroin to U.S. from across the world. He accumulated a lot of wealth from trafficking and later with gambling, bootlegging, and much more.

Time magazine characterized Luciano as the "criminal mastermind" in 1998, and he was one among the top 20 most influential builders and titans of the 20th century. In January, 1962, Luciano died of a heart attack at Naples International Airport.
