Top 5 Best And Worst Liveable Cities In The World

BENGALURU: A research by the Economist Intelligence Unit over 140 cities across the globe brings out a top ten list that provide the best or worst living conditions, as The Times Of India reports. 

The factors of judgment were based on geographical location, healthcare, education, culture, environment and stability.

The top five places have been bagged by countries that were once British colonies but are federal states now – Canada and Australia. Vienna of Austria is at the third place.

A macro view of the top five cities to check, how exactly they stand out from the rest of the world ?

Melbourne, Australia (97.5 out of 100)

Other than incredible coffee and trees, what makes the cultural capital of Australia so superior for the fifth time in a row? The ultra wide streets with musical names like ACDC lane are only found here. Melbourne Arts Centre and its resemblance with the Eiffel Tower, the Vinyl Store and their global music collection, the free trams, the world’s biggest cricket ground and so much more is only found in this city by the bay. Lord Mayor Robert Doyle spoke to the media about this achievement by the Australian city, "I would say this year, the focus we've had is around safety, around sustainability, and around smart growth, particularly infrastructure, but obviously, the high scores in healthcare and education and particularly pleasing as well."
