Bangalore: SiliconIndia.com, India's largest professional news and media Company, today announced the appointment of Pradeep Shankar as its CEO and Alok Chaturvedi as COO of the company.

Shankar succeeds Harvi Sachar, Founder and the CEO, who will be serving as the executive chairman of the company.

Shankar, who was serving as the Editor-in-Chief of SiliconIndia, has been instrumental in setting up an editorial team and steering content strategy for the portal, which has today emerged as the most trusted source for news and information for professionals in India catering to 4.5 million professionals through SiliconIndia's channels-- portal and newsletters. He also steered the events division of the company to over 100+ events attended by over 50,000+ qualified professionals every year, making SiliconIndia.com, the largest producer of professional events in the country.

Alok Chaturvedi the newly appointed COO has been responsible for all operations and online sales since company was launched. Under his leadership, the sales of the organization grew year-on-year revenue by 40 percent contributed by the newly introduced online products. In his role as the COO, he will oversee the operations, finance and sales of all online products.
