BANGALORE: All the countries have started relaxing visa norms to welcome more visitors. The catch though behind this relaxation is the reason for travel. Visa is given only if the immigration department finds your reason worth it. This also comes with another problem i.e. you must have enough finance to support yourself while you are there.
Every country has various forms of visa for different reasons. Many countries have visa on arrival. Recently, the FM Arun Jaitley in the budget announced for the start of E-visas in nine new airports to attract tourists.
In America, there is a visa for every kind travel purposed. They have H1 for professional visa, B1 for short business trips, and B2 for tourists and K1 for fiancé or fiancée if one of the other is a U.S citizen. These are just some of visas; there are visas for sports or globally recognized athletes, for specially gifted people in arts and science and also for those students who are part of exchange programs.
The other issue while obtaining a visa is the amount of time it takes to get it approved. A visa to U.K takes about 15 days, it is the same for Australia as well, and to UAE it takes about 72 hours from the time of application. France is coming out with a new program that will give visa to Indians within 48 hours. This method is also going to be adopted by America and Britain.
Many of the visas are rejected due to silly errors like expiry date of the visa or spelling mistakes and most of the time with wrong information. Therefore, if you want visa to be approved be careful while filling the form.
Countries are cooperating for better travel but only if there is complete clarity for reasons of travel and all documents are made available to the authorities.
