Nestle Shells out Television Commercials for Maggi's Relaunch

BANGALORE: Four months have gone by after what is perhaps the worst credibility crisis the world has ever known. However all is not lost as the world's largest food company Nestle is back in television commercials, making rooting for the relaunch of its instant noodle brand Maggi, back in the country, reports ET.

As per the   readings of the advertising data from a number of media agencies, the growth pct of Nestle India's ad volume on television, was 96pct in September. Now presently, with Maggi clearing the mandatory review tests by the Bombay High Court that had placed a nationwide ban on the noodles in August, several states are now lifting the bans. Maggie still continues to aggressively fight its way back on to retail shelves as well as consumers' shopping carts. Sources have also affirmed that the Swiss major is soon set to release an innovative set of TV commercials for the noodles brand by McCann World Group.

Nestle's advertising volume had declined rapidly with allegations of excess lead content that led to the ban in early June. However the company has now brought back the campaign for Maggi with a print advertisement that read “Your Maggi is safe, has always been." Furthermore, the ad also states that around 3,500 of its samples has been rigorously tested in India and other places that include the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
