Making Indians Proud: ISRO's Top Five Achievements in 2015


BANGALORE: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has always made every Indian smile with pride with its achievements in the past. Once again, it has added another feather in our cap with the successful completion of planned objectives in Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM). Besides this, the space agency is also helping U.S. in launching satellite from India's launch pad at Sriharikota, reports Microfinance Monitor. Here is a glance on the achievements of ISRO in 2015.

Mangalyaan: After covering 666 million km in 10 months, the satellite has completed one year in the Red planet’s orbit. It withstood the test of scientific challenge by successfully coming out of the solar conjunction (a phase of communication blackout) in July 2015 using the On-board autonomy built in the spacecraft.
