Indians Choose Mumbai As World's Best City After Singapore

Bangalore: According to Indians, Mumbai is the world's best city after Singapore, says a study by market research company Ipsos. India feels very proud about its Filmy hip-city Mumbai and for them, it’s rising up to Singapore standards which is why they voted it for the world's best city. The list is then followed by New York, London, and Abu Dhabi which made it to the top five, as reported by Namrata Singh for The Times of India.

People were asked to choose from the 48 major cities which are known for doing business, to live, and are most visited. The overall was tallied for each city based on the response that they got for these three categories. The cities that attained the winning position were New York- best place to do business, followed by Zurich- best place to live and Paris- best place to visit.

Biswarup Banerjee, head marketing communication of Ipsos commented, "Mumbai is the commercial and entertainment capital of India and it is also the most populous city in India. No wonder people across India who aspire to make it big have voted Mumbai, the city of dreams as the best place to do business and live in.''

This survey included interviews of 18,147 adults aged 18-64 in U.S. and Canada and people from age group 16-64 from different countries across the world.
