A prime Indian festival that marks the arrival of crop harvest and prosperity to shade our sights. The festival goes on for three days eventfully, with full fervor in every state in their own style. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana: Kites invading the sky spewing the clouds and cocks fighting to shred each other to emerge as a winner, these makes for the outer regional activities which take place during the festival. The festival is on for three days namely: Bhogi, Sankranthi and Kanuma respectively.

 The first day welcoming the festive arrival with a huge bonfire, the second day being Makara Sankranthi the festival’s main preaching the god for the year’s crop and for years to come making ‘Pongal’ a popular south Indian dish. The third day marks the end day when city’s stages enact plays depicting mythological figures and the story behind this festival.
