BSE Institute Ltd (BIL) - a wholly owned subsidiary of BSE has bagged IPN Global Best Awards 2018 for impacting youth employability skills across Asia. The event was conducted at NASA, Jackson Space Station, Houston where Ambarish Datta (MD & CEO, BIL) and Rahul Ranadive (Vice President, BIL) received award from George Abby, former director, NASA Jackson Space Centre and William McArthur, American Astronaut.

On receipted of award, Ambarish stated, “We at BIL are extremely proud to be honored with IPN GBA under the Youth employability skills theme. It is encouraging to get recognized and applauded by such a renowned institution. Equipping the youth of an economy with specialized knowledge and skills that are industry aligned is a vital ingredient for advancement, especially in a competitive and growing economy such as ours. The Program impacted over 1000 underprivileged graduate youth, from various Government & Private Colleges across multiple cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune and Thane. We have students from all walks of life including students from financially challenged background. The program has enabled youth to take a career path that has transformed their lives. They have been provided with necessary skills that are required to have a sustainable livelihood. This transformation has not only changed their lives but also impacted the lives of people attached to them”. “But this feat would not have been possible without the acceptance and involvement from the industry, we are thankful to our supporters including donors and corporates who supported by recruiting the pool of resources that is being generated from the program,” he further added.

Today, majority of enterprises spend nearly three to six months behind training prospective candidates as they don’t emerge from universities as ‘job-ready candidates’. Foreseeing this, BIL initiated the certification program in investment banking operations that not only trains graduate populace who are looking for jobs but also addresses the dearth need of workforce for investment banking back offices. During the span of 10 weeks, aspirants (from tier 2 & 3 cities) gain in-depth knowledge of investment banking back office operations along with personal & professional development skills. Furthermore, placement linkages are built before commencement of training program thereby significantly increasing the probability of the students securing a job at the end of training process.

On the other hand, entire course curriculum was designed and validated by industry & academic experts from global investment banks, quarterly industry seminars were organized to assess the job roles that were in demand, the numbers likely to be hired, remuneration offered and job locations.  “Average graduates were made ready to take back office job roles in multinational companies  wherein  they were placed in job roles like research analysts, surveillance executive, research advisor and other back office operations including custodial, settlements in reputed organizations,” asserted Rahul.

Besides, the ISO 9001-2008 certified firm, BIL also offers a bouquet of courses related to financial markets ranging from international PG programs to more than 100 short term certifications in collaboration with national and international universities. The institute has been awarded with many accolades in the past few years including but not limited to Education Leadership Award, Skoch Financial Inclusion Awards and many more.
