9 Rich People Who Became Homeless

Sugar Ray Williams:

Williams, once an NBA superstar, was the captain of New York Knicks in the late 1970s through the mid 1980s. Williams was neither a drug addict, nor fallen prey to alcohol or gambling, but lost some money which he had received as a grant from the NBA Legends Foundation which provides need-based assistance to the players involved in the pro games.

In 2010, the Boston Globe reported that Williams was sleeping in the backseat of a broke-down 1992 Buick in Pompano Beach, Florida. Williams  had blew roughly 2 million dollars which he had made during his contracts with NBA, that made him bankrupt. In an interview with Boston Globe, Williams said that the retired players should get better care from the NBA. In the history of NBA, he is the only star who wentfrom riches to rags and was in need for assistance.
