8 Countries Where Rape Crimes Are Alarming Women Safety

India:

The Nirbhaya case  in 2012, reflected women’s safety in India, though the shadowof the case provoked huge protests all over the country, similar cases are repeatedly occurring in India. According to the report of National Crime Buerau, 24,923 rape cases were reported in the country as of 2012. The worst part is that most of rape victims don’t file a complaint because of the taboos existing in the society. The judicial punishment for rape convicts are no less than 8 years in India and in some exceptional cases, found guilty shall be imprisoned for life.

United States of America:

United States of America is considered as the most advanced country in the world, but this nation too has failed in bringing down the crime rates. According to the report by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the country was reported with 84,376 forcible rapes and most of the reported cases were gang rape crimes. However, as per the U.S. law those found guilty shall be imprisoned for 9 years for sexual assault crime.
