Heisnam Kanhailal:

Heisnam Kanhailal is a theatre artist in Manipur, India. Kanhailal features in roles that speak about the social flaws that are blindly followed in the current era, thus he received threats from the extremists. Kanhailal founded his theatre called Kalakshetra Manipur and for his notable achievements in the respective field, he was conferred Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1985 and Sangeet Natak Academy Ratna Award in 2001 added with various international awards in his whole career.

Vikram Seth:

Vikram Seth, an Indian Novelist whose works got internationally acclaimed, ‘A Suitable Girl’ and The ‘Golden Gate’ are the world famous works of him.  Seth declared himself as a bisexual and supported the Echos for Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code. Therefore, he received severe slashes from the activists against the respective Section.
