However the backbone for the highly popular brand was initiated by the empowerment of rural women with their self-employment initiative, ‘Shri Mahila Griha Udyog’. These rural dwellers set out their work with a loan of just 80, today it is a recognized co-operative with an annual sales of over 3.1 billion.
