6 Celebs Who Faced Turbulent Times In Their Lives


BENGALURU: A general perception over the lives of celebrities is actually far unlike from the reality. Similarly, just because they look good, it doesn’t mean they have a flawless life, it is just that they portray themselves unblemished when they are veiled under the flashes.

But the ugly truth is, every personal life has darks spots, hence celebs have too. Thus, here goes the list of such celebrities, who have equally lived struggling at times, as reported by ScoopWhoop.

Amitabh Bachchan:

Amitabh Bachchan, an evergreen ‘angry young man’ of Bollywood, who can still counter the contemporary heroes, with his popularity, however, there is, not widely known fact beyond his stardom. Yes! Not many of us know that Bachchan was once bankrupt because of his business venture Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Ltd (ABCL).

It all started in 1995, when Bachchan started a media firm ABCL that largely invested in movie productions and event management business. But as a result of improper management of funds, the company hit the grounds and that is when Amitabh faced his toughest times. But again, in 2000 he rose back to stardom, fame and money through his TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) since then he has never faced a setback in his career and is now one among the legends of the Indian cinema.

Jackie Shroff:

Jackie Shroff, a tough guy, who stole millions of female hearts back in 1983, with his debut movie Hero. Subsequently, he gradually inclined his success graph with consistent box office hits, but later in the 90s, he established ‘Jackie Shroff Entertainment Limited’ along with his wife Ayesha Dutt, but the company ended up broke. Nevertheless, Shroff, who remained determined is now out of losses and is busy doing movies in south cinemas.

Manisha Koirala:

Manisha Koirala, a Nepali beauty, who is also related to the royal family of the country, once ruled the Bollywood with her beauty and glamour. However, she has stayed out of the spotlight, because of her fight against the deadly cancer.

 You heard it right, Manisha, who had won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance in movie Bombay, suffered from the ovarian cancer after she divorced her husband in 2012, but as of now she is cancer free from the past two years and is now busy promoting awareness against the disease.

Raj Kapoor:

Raj Kapoor, who hasn’t heard of this name, he was a legendary actor, director and producer, who had an enormous amount of passion towards the movie industry. Thus, he was called as the showman of the Bollywood. After his successful acting career, he set up a production house and also directed many box office hits along with producing.

In 1970, Kapoor released his biggest project of lifetime, ‘Mera Naam Joker,’ which he took almost 6 years for making, but the movie proved to be a disaster at the box office and as a consequence, Kapoor lost almost all his personal wealth. Yet, he regained them with the movie ‘Bobby,’ which was a massive hit and brought back all his fortunes.

Lisa Ray:

Lisa Ray, an international model and a popular name in Indian film industry. Lisa was a Canadian model, born to a Bengali Hindu father and a Polish mother. She made an Indian movie debut in 1994 with the Tamil film Nethaji, subsequently she appeared in many Indian movies, she is also internationally acclaimed for her performance in the movie water that got nominated for the academy award.

But in 2009, Lisa learned that she is affected by the multiple myeloma (kind of cancer) subsequently went through a severe treatment and in 2010 she was declared cancer free and since then she has been busy in humanitarian activities.

Deepika Padukone:

Deepika Padukone, a lead actress in Bollywood, who is raging with her matchless performances. Deepika made her dream debut with Shahrukh Khan in Om Shanti Om in 2007. Since then she has been an undisputed queen of Bollywood, but alongside, she has dealt a lot with her personal and as testimonies by herself, she suffered severe depression and has strived deeply to overcome it, now she claims to be out of depression and encouraging others sufferers in overcoming it.
