Gandhi family vs Subramanian Swamy
Subramanian Swamy is the Indian politician, academician and economist. He is also the President of the Indian Janata party. Swamy has been relentlessly imposing allegations on the Gandhi family. He has made many accusations on Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi also Robert Vadra in 2012. It is certain that Swamy’s name and his squabble with the Gandhi family will be reiterated until the 2014 general elections. Swamy accused Congress party president Sonia Gandhi and general secretary Rahul Gandhi for seizing Rs 1,600 crore worth of public property.
In response to these allegations Rahul Gandhi’s office has sent a letter to the Swamy calling his accusations, “as utterly false, baseless and defamatory,” reported India Today. The Gandhi family has claimed to sue Swamy's accusations for being libel.
Subramanian Swamy has turned into an anti curroption crusader. He has even challenged Rahul Gandhi to file a defamation case, which he is willing to fight in court. Swamy and the tiff between Gandhi family is one of the major highlights to watch out for in 2013.
