20 Extraordinary Entrepreneurs from IIT Kharagpur


Bangalore: ‘The Game Changers’ is a book on the 20 extraordinary success stories of entrepreneurs from IIT. Published by Random House India,it is one of a kind of a book that outlines the stories of the most successful entrepreneurs and their journeys. The book is written by Yuvnesh Modi, Rahul Kumar and Alok Kothari. The Game Changers is the 20 success stories of IITians who went on to live the big dream. Yuvnesh and Rahul are 4th year undergraduate students at IIT Kharagpur and Alok is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur.

Entrepreneurship is not about breaking free from the 9 to 5 routine or being your own boss. It shuns the idea of a comfortable corporate job and six figure salaries and requires out of the box thinking and a passion to do the impossible.

The book talks of the successful entrepreneurs which include Suhas Patil, Vijay Kumar, Vinod Gupta, Sam Dalal, Sridhar Mitta, Arjun Malhotra, Kiran Seth, Prabhakant Sinha, Ranbir Singh Gupta, Bikram Dasgupta founder of Globsyn, Praful Kulkarni, Sunil Gaitonde, Anand Deshpande, Arvind Kejriwal, Harish Hande, Anuradha Acharya, Venkata Subramanian, Bikash Barai, Vikram Kumar, and Krishna Mehra.

Suhas Patil: Suhas is a Silicon Valley entrepreneur, venture capitalist and philanthropist. He is the founder and chairman emeritus of Cirrus Logic Inc, a leading semi conductor company. Previously, he was an associate professor of computer science at the University of Utah where he worked on design methodology for complex integrated circuits. He has over 40 scientific papers covering the areas of research and he is also the recipient of several patents in the field of Integrated Circuits. He was also the co-founder of a global not for profit organization, the TiE (The Ind-US Entrepreneurs).

 

Kiran Seth: Dr Kiran has been honored with Padma Shri award. He is known for the SPIC MACAY movement for which he has been recognized for his efforts to spread Indian music, heritage and culture to youth across the country.
