Bangalore: A country’s wellness and prosperity are often signifies by the growth and development endowed by its different states. Likewise, in India, there are many prosperous states which have contributed immensely in the country’s development. Based on the study released by Crisil, here are the names of such Indian cities as listed by Rediff-

1. Punjab:

Punjab, located in the north west of India, is one of the smallest and the most prosperous states of India. Its prosperity has been largely due to the state’s development of agriculture. Punjab has also witnessed the lowest proportion of households with no durable asset, not even a mobile or a bicycle (just over 4 percent) indicating its overall prosperity, says the study. The success of this state is attributed to the success of agriculture outcomes, as well as high minimum support price and public acquisition of grains.
