China has developed and possess weapons of mass destruction, including chemical and nuclear weapons. Till date this country is estimated to have about 140 warheads assigned to land-based missiles and 40 warheads assigned for aircraft. According to a publication by a Chinese government, the military budget of this country is about $157.6 billion, the second largest in the world after the U.S.

This nation spends whooping sum of $668.8 billion on the military forces. The U.S. military as a unit has the state of the art equipments in large supply and also poses an extensive placement all over the world, making them major players.
