10 Finest Asian Cities by Location Branding

Bangkok takes the ninth position on the list with a score of 7.9.

 

 

Beijing:

Beijing rounded off the tenth position with a score of 7.9.

“In a region where politics often lacks transparency, and where political and business elites can be closely aligned, political stability nears the top of the list of required attributes among businesses seeking to invest – significantly outstripping quality of life and the natural environment,” said the report. About 72 percent thought that political stability is very important to branding campaigns.

Beijing was followed by Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City, Mumbai, and Delhi with scores of 7.4, 6.6, 6.1 and 6.0 respectively. As per the report Manila had the worst brand value among the Asia-Pacific cities.

In the City Brand Rankings, Manila had the lowest score with 5.6, along with Jakarta (5.9). The report highlighted "The reputation of these two South East Asian nations is impeded by poor infrastructure, fears over safety, concern about corruption and regular word of mouth accounts of poor visitor experiences."
