Thappad (Hindi)

Directed and co-produced by Anubhav Sinha, Thappad is a drama movie that stars Taapsee Pannu as a woman who files for divorce when her husband slaps her. The story focuses on the decision she took to stand up for herself even if it means it’s against her family, her husband and generations of mental conditioning. Apart from Taapsee, Pavali Gulati, Tanvi Azmi and Sushil Dahiya play key roles in the movie. The songs are composed by Anurag Saikia and lyrics by Shakeel Azmi.
