  • The film, shot over 200 days, hits theatres this Thursday with a star-studded cast and high expectations.
Ace cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa, known for his visually stunning work, has praised actor Pawan Kalyan’s deep understanding of filmmaking ahead of the release of their much-anticipated film Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1  Sword Vs Spirit. The magnum opus, directed by Jyothi Krisna, is slated for release.
Taking to Instagram, Manoj shared a heartfelt note admiring Pawan Kalyan’s cinematic insight. “I am astounded by your filmmaking knowledge”, he wrote. “For this film, #HHVM, I had to unlearn everything I thought I knew about filmmaking. I truly enjoyed every bit of our conversations  though brief about cinema and the importance of pre-visualisation”.
Manoj recalled how Pawan Kalyan had embraced filmmaking technology early on. “You mentioned how, even in the early 2000s, you were among the first Avid software users in Hyderabad, creating visual cues for storytelling using Manga Comics cutouts. That really stayed with me”.
The cinematographer expressed a wish that he had met the actor earlier in his career. “But today, I can see that same aggression not in film, but in your unwavering dedication to the welfare of people. After closely observing your journey over the past 10 months, I can proudly say: the future of our children is in safe hands. Thank you for this incredible opportunity, sir.”
Addressing Pawan Kalyan’s fan base, he added, “Dear Power Star fans, get ready for the Rudra Thandavam. #HHVM is all yours from now!”
Hari Hara Veera Mallu is set in the 16th century during the Mughal era. In an earlier interview with IANS, director Jyothi Krisna revealed that the film, shot over 200 days, is inspired by a real but untold incident from the Mughal period. “Pawan Kalyan plays a Robinhood-like character a thief”, he said. Bollywood actor Bobby Deol plays the role of Aurangazeb.
The film features cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa and Gnanashekar V.S., with production design by the renowned Thota Tharani. Editing is handled by National Award-winning editor K. L. Praveen.
The ensemble cast also includes Nidhi Aggarwal, Nassar, Sathyaraj, Thalaivasal Vijay, Raghu Babu, Subbaraju, and Sunil.
