The movie Parzania is based on the true story of a ten year old Parsi boy who went missing after the Godhra riots in Gujarat in 2002. The movie shows how his family tries to locate their son against the backdrop of the riots. The director Rahul Dholakia through the movie showcased the Godhra riots and the aftermath of it.

The movie was objected on the grounds that the movie portrayed the riots in favor of the Muslims and they did not the atrocities committed by the Muslims on the Hindus. The film completely ignores the trigger of the riots “the Godhra Train Burning”.  It was felt that the movie was biased as the plot only showcased and highlighted the Hindu attacks.

Though the movie was made in 2005 it was released on January 26, 2007.
