Well this movie was banned only in Gujarat! Surprised? This movie has nothing to with the Godhra Riots. The reason behind the ban of this movie was the fact that the lead star in movie Amir Khan decided to take up the cause of the displaced farmers of the Narmada case.

There was a proposal to raise the height of the dam. The people protested against this and also they wanted proper rehabilitation. In order to support this cause Amir Khan also raised his voice and the moment he did the entire product endorsed by Amir Khan was banned including his movie Fanna.

This goes on to show that in reality we are living in a pseudo democracy. In all the uproar of the ban of the movie, the director Kunal Kohli was left bewildered as he saw no reason behind preventing his movie from being screened in Gujarat.
