The past few weeks have seen India-Pakistan tension rise to a very high level. Though this led the nation's armed forces to the frontlines to defend the nation, their activities were applauded in all nooks and corners of the country. Actress Alia Bhatt has also now joined the bandwagon on social media, praising the efforts of the armed forces to defend the nation. She penned a sincere message referring to them as guardians of the country and greeting their mothers for having borne such heroes.

Alia Bhatt wrote on Instagram, “The last few nights have felt… different. There’s a certain stillness in the air when a nation holds its breath. And over the past few days, we’ve felt that stillness. That quiet anxiety. That pulse of tension that hums beneath every conversation, behind every news notification, around every dinner table. We have experienced the burden of knowing that somewhere, in the mountains out there, our troops are up, awake, and at risk.

Whilst most of us are snuggled up in our beds, there are men and women out in the dark, protecting our sleep with theirs. With their lives. And that fact it does something to you. Bécause you realize this isn't just courage. It's a sacrifice. And behind every uniform is a mother who hasn't slept either.". A mother who understands her child is having a night not of lullabies, but of uncertainty. Of silence that can shatter in an instant." Her addendum went on to say, "On Sunday, we celebrated Mother's Day."

And as flowers were being given out and hugs were shared, I couldn't help but reflect on the mothers who brought forth heroes and wear that unspoken pride with just a little harder steel in the spine. We grieve for the lives that have been taken, soldiers that will never return home, whose names are now inscribed on the heart of this nation. May their families take strength from the nation's appreciation. So tonight, and every night thereafter, we hope for less silence that comes from tension, and more silence that comes from peace. And send love to all the parents out there holding prayers, holding back tears. Because your strength inspires this nation more than you'll ever know. We stand together. For our guardians. For India. Jai Hind. Responding to Alia Bhatt's post, Karan Johar left some heart emojis. But a section of people on social media also criticized Alia for commenting on the issue a week later. Professionally, Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Alpha, Love and War, and Bhramastra: Part 2.
