The film directed by AR Murugadoss is a remake of Tamil Movie ”Thuppaki” and features Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles accompanied by Govinda in a supporting role. Reportedly, the drop in the collection on the fifth day of release didn’t affect it negatively.

"Holiday's business picked up slowly over the weekend. It is now to be seen how it maintains its good run," stated exhibitor Rajesh Thadani
