Ranbir is Tough Competition in the Family: Kareena

New Delhi:  Actress Kareena Kapoor says her cousin Ranbir Kapoor has become a "tough" competition for her when it comes to film awards.

The 'Rockstar' star already has four Filmfare trophies in his kitty and is catching up with Kareena, who has won six of them so far. "I have a very tough competition in my own family now. You never know, soon Ranbir might cross my record and that of my grandfather, who had won 11. But that would surely be a very joyous moment for our family," she said.

The 32-year-old actress said she still feels excited when she gets an award for her performance. "I get excited when I get these awards. I get excited when I prepare about my thanks-giving speech. These awards are like my possessions," she added.

This year, Kareena was seen in four different avatars in films such as 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu', 'Agent Vinod', 'Heroine', and 'Talaash'. Playing Mumbai-based prostitute Rosy in her last release 'Talaash', Kareena said her "supernatural" character is close to her heart. "Rosy is a special role to me because it was a supernatural kind of character. These were the characters of 1960s films like 'Woh Kaun Thi' and 'Jewel Thief'. There were so many shades to my character," Kareena said on the sidelines of the 58th Idea Filmfare Awards 2012 announcement here.

Kareena shared the screen space with actor Aamir Khan and Rani Mukerjee in the Reema Kagti directed thriller. The Filmfare awards ceremony will be held on January 20 at the Yash Raj Films (YRF) studios in Mumbai.
