#8 One IBM Plaza Building

Year of Completion: 1971
Recognized as a true icon in the world of modern architecture and engineering, the One IBM Plaza was constructed in the year 1971 under the masterful guidance of Mies van der Rohe. Sadly the structure is also renowned for the architect's last American building. The One IBM Plaza is built using right proportions of glass and steel. The massive building also has attained an iconic status in Chicago history, as it was added in the list of US National Register of Historic Places in March 2010.
#9 IBM Manufacturing Plant
Place: Guadalajara, Mexico
Year of Completion: 1975
The IBM plant in Mexico was designed by an unknown local architect Ricardo Legorreta, who soon rose to fame after the completion of the plant by the year 1975. Legorreta designed the plant using native raw materials like plaster and clay tile palings. Legorreta in his website said that "The main objective was to create a plant for people integrated to the Mexican character and with the local environment."

Year of Completion: 1989
A massive retail center that spans over acres of spaces, the IBM Solana office was built on a former ranch, situated outside of Fort Worth, Texas. The colossal structure was engineered by a whole lot of architects, engineers, planners and landscape architects. Some names that featured the list where Barton Myers, Mitchell and Giurgola Architects, Ricardo Legorreta, and Peter Walker and Partners. IBM Solana office included a village, a recreational center, an office complex and a retail center.
