Post Budget Reactions From IT Companies
BANGALORE: Post Budget reactions from the various IT companies are as follows:
According to Aashish Kalra, Chairman at Cambridge Technology Inc, “It is great to realise that the government understands IT industry to be not only a growth engine but also as a solution to many existing problems in the country. Rs1000 crore fund for tech start-ups and entrepreneurs is a perfect stride towards this.
Most importantly, the inclusion of Self- Employment and Talent Utilisation (SETU) mechanism is another step in the right direction, it will make us bring in next generation of IT leaders. Moreover, this financial support to IT industry is going to impulse the e-governance concept that will bring down the corruption level, will make lives easier and support in building our cities further smarter with smarter people”
According to , “Ashok Atluri, CMD at Zen Technologies, ““Make in India for Defence, with as little import content as possible, is a step in the right direction and will attract Indian industry to invest in R&D in defence and also attract right kind of FDI in defence as the control of the company will remain with Indians. It is a pro prosperity budget, I would give it full 10/10 overall. Looking at the close connection of defence ministry at Aero India and the allocation for defence sector in this budget is great for defence industry , overall a good budget"
According to Alok Sinha, CEO at Xchanging Solutions Ltd, “With this Union Budget, the government has lived up to its promise of transforming India’s manufacturing industry into a global hub and empowering India’s youth by introducing national-level skill development and skill enhancement program to make them industry ready.
These two initiatives have the ability to impact India’s future positively and I am glad to note that the Shri Arun Jaitly has taken the right steps.
The allocation to the ‘Make in India’ program will give a fillip to the manufacturing industry including indigenous production of defence equipments (including aircrafts). This will advance our defence capability, increase collaboration with global defence manufacturers as well as result in employment generation for India’s youth.
In addition, the government’s plans to upgrade the secondary schools across the country and to open higher education institutions like IITs and IIMs will bridge the digital divide and bring global standards and technology-based education in the country.”
