Pine Labs Partners with Google India to Integrate Gift Cards with Google Wallet

Fintech company Pine Labs announced its partnership with Google India to integrate Gift Cards with the tech giant's 'Wallet' app. This collaboration aims to streamline the Gift Cards usage experience, offering ease and convenience for both existing and new users, thereby eliminating complexities associated with their use.
With this integration, Google Wallet users in India will be able to store and manage their Gift Cards directly within the app. The app will also provide seamless reminders to use the Gift Cards when making purchases, enhancing the overall user experience.
"Considering the huge Android user base in the country, we anticipate a sharp jump in the usage of Gift Cards as more retailers and brands will now look to leverage it in their omnichannel strategy to expand their customer base, improve customer experience, retention, and loyalty", said Navin Chandani, President - Issuing Business, Pine Labs.
According to a report by Research and Markets, the Gift Cards market in India is projected to grow significantly from $7.6 billion in 2023 to $15.7 billion by 2028. This growth highlights the increasing popularity and demand for Gift Cards among Indian consumers.
